Course Description: Manufacturing of micro and nano-structured engineering components and composites starting with metal and/or ceramic powders. Powder production methods, characterization, powder shaping and compaction, sintering, hot consolidation, design considerations, and finishing operations. This course includes group projects and presentations on some of the latest trends in powder-based materials.
