Research and teaching are viewed by Dr. Morsi as two sides to the same coin. Without research, textbooks would not have been written and used in teaching, and hence they both go hand in hand, exemplified in the teacher-scholar model. The transmission of knowledge to students who would later use it in the service and benefit of mankind is the ultimate intent. No obstacles should stand in the way of a student who is trying to acquire knowledge. Hence no student should hesitate to ask questions. As such, 'any' question by a student must be met with welcoming gestures and encouragement. Approachability and caring for students are pivotal to the breakdown of any barrier to learning.
